The Warrior Is a Child

No matter how ruined a man and his world may seem and no matter how terrible man's despair may become, as long as he continues to be a man- his very humanity continues to tell him that life has a meaning. Our main purpose is to discover this meaning, and live according to it. Thus, giving us something to live for:)
I just thought of sharing this wonderful song. Such a brilliant composition!

Lately I've been winning battles left and right
But even winners can get wounded in the fight
People say that I'm amazing
Strong beyond my years
But they don't see inside of me
I'm hiding all the tears.

They don't know that I go running home when I fall down
They don't know who picks me up when no one is around
I drop my sword and cry for just a while
'Cause deep inside this armour
The warrior is a child
Unafraid because his armour is the best
But even soldiers need a quiet place to rest
People say that I'm amazing
Never face retreat
But they don't see the enemies
That lay me at His feet
I drop my sword and look up for His smile
Because deep inside this armour
Deep inside this armour
The Warrior is a Child
Clearer Vision Never before have I seen through the door
Now it is open wide
Show me again how I fit in Your plan
I want to come inside
Into the room where the light is brighter
Into your heart, where my view is higher
Take me away, take me away
Make your desire mine
Clearer vision
You make me see so much more than just me
How could I be so blind
Now I can know where You want me to go
Looking inside Your mind...

I like this song. It was introduced to me when I was in Davao City in the Philippines back in 2005. The version I heard was from Gary Valenciano. First time I listened to it, I did not really like it; my friend who introduced the song to me loves it. Listening to it while typing this comment sure brought back a lot of memories for me. Anyone interested can watch the music video at: The Warrior is a Child
