A House is Not a Home

It’s a little bit surprising to me during my first few weeks here in the US. I realized that people live in a house according to their income. Most people don’t stay that long in the same house in their lifetime. Then, the “Open House” term is so new to me. I was trying to grasp the whole financial culture abound and it’s so amazing to me how it all work out.
I told Jim about how my parents have lived in the island almost all their lives. My Mom stayed in the same house even when she’s already married. The income may grow better and bigger but most people will just stay and live in the same house. They will just renovate it. Well, that was the scenario 50 years ago, Jim commented.
