With the economy spiraling down, it’s beyond words to describe how badly we are affected by the recent tragedies in Asia especially to my kababayans (countrymen) in the Philippines. It’s quiet depressing to watch the news on TFC and I can only give my fervent prayers to those who were affected and to those who lost their loved ones.On the brighter side, I’m all the more impressed by the generosity of so may people who helped in one way or another, big or small. Once again, the nation rose amidst adversity and was firmly united. It’s sad to know that we had to be tested first to realize we can do a lot of things if we are united. True enough, every tragedy is another door being opened into something bigger. I’m just hoping that it’ll be an eye-opener for all to continue taking care of each other without dwelling so much on some vanities and cynicism. We all know that the latter doesn’t work, right?

Yes, the Philippines was battered by two very strong typhoons that resulted to more than 500 casualties and billions of pesos loss of infrastructures and properties. But as you said, Filipinos are resilient and have rediscovered their long dormant bayanihan spirit. With the grace and mercy of God, the Philippines will be able to stand again among the respected nations of the world. Thanks for your post. God bless you always.

I am so in love with the rain, not the flood. Water was neck high in our place due to Pepeng. thank God, we survived... and a little more time and Pinoy will again be one.
Though those 2 typhoons really damage Philippines at some point, somehow it made Filipinos united again., also, it really shows BAYANIHAN to all other Filipinos
