Wow! We ended up the year with some errands. My husband did some painting and arranging some furniture on his newly painted office while I was busy making buko salad, hamonada (my Mom’s recipe) and preparing the table. Our friends arrived 7 o’clock and had some wonderful karaoke..opps! It’s videoke moment. It was totally a blast! Everybody sang except me and my husband. Well, we’re exempted since we’re the host, lol! It was actually a contest by couple… and so Dyane and Jesse won as expected.
Faye made a good appletini and Jack&Coke and had a toast of champagne while watching the recording from CNN’s New York coverage. We really did have a great time, lots of food, drinks, opened some gifts from Secret Santa, a lot of singing, hahaha! It was such a wonderful company of nice people! Here’s some of the pictures we had from the New Year’s Eve party:
We slept around 3 in the morning. I started my New Year’s Day attending the mass. It was too early that I didn’t bother waking up my husband. I woke up 8:15 and the mass will start in 15 minutes. Geeee...I forgot to set my alarm but anyway, it’s good that the church is only 8 minutes away. It was foggy and I almost hit a bird that was jumping around the street.
In the afternoon, we did some work at the office and visited a neighbor (our Dentist) and their new-born son. Lastly, we ended up the night putting away all the decorations; to make it more easy for Rosa tomorrow.
All in all, I wasn’t that tired at all from just a few hours sleep. I always love it that way. It's just a personal belief and a good thing to start the year with- working and being busy :)
